Setanta Workshop for The Creation

In the last weekend of march, just one month prior to performing Haydn's Creation, Setanta scheduled a workshop to fine tune the hard work done on this piece since the beginning of the year. The Killyhevlin Hotel, in Enniskillen was the venue of choice , idyllically set on the shores of scenic Lough Erne. Our mentor for the weekend was Conductor Laureate, Proinnsías Ó Duinn who skillfully applied his long experience and expertise to bring us up to par for the performance ahead.

After an exhausting but exhillarating Saturday, dinner was followed by an evening of song and dance into the wee hours. The following morning, though voices were hoarse and eyes were tired, all the previous days work was put to the test. Though some of the high notes were not so hot, we knew that we were going to give a great performance on the 26th April.
